ATTENTION ALL YOU WHO THINK YOU CANT PAINT BECAUSE YOU HAVE NO SPACE IN YOU PLACE, OR YOU ARE AFRAID OF MAKING A MESS!: NO MORE EXCUSES!

If you are a Los Angeles local you are in luck. Paint Lab is an independently run public art studio down in Santa Monica. Paint lab provides you with a place to work, easels, canvas’, brushes and paints. Everything you need to get creative is right in house. The best part is, when your all done you get to walk away with a piece of art and they will take care of the mess!

You are allowed to bring you own canvas or medium to paint on, but if you do they ask you pay a space fee. Everything is very reasonably priced including there canvas’.

They also have a lot of neat events you can check out like PAINT, WINE and CHEESE nights on Fridays and Saturdays from 6pm – 9pm. Its about $30 + the price of the canvas but it includes all your paints, space, wine and cheese. If you’re a lush like me, or have an unnatural obsession with cheese its totally worth it! (Joking. Its worth it ether way)

Or If you have ever been interested in having a nude subject but didn’t know where to look…. Paint Lab also offers figure-drawing sessions. Its about $20 and the model will pose nude for about 20 minutes. They have longer sessions so you’re able to paint. Both of these sessions will require a reservation and the dates change every month, so call or check out there website for more information.

KIDS KIDS KIDS! Its all about the kids!
Paint Lab is an ah-mazing place to being your kids. They have everything from Family paint nights on Sundays, to weekday and weekend art workshops! You can also reserve the studio for private birthday parties, fund-raising events or any thing you can think of. If you child really enjoys it and wants more, check out there kids art summer camp.

Paint lab is for all ages, and for all levels of artists. It’s a small quiet place, not overly crowded and not at all commercialized. Definitely a recommend to check out!
